THE DISCOVERY CENTER & PIER LEASES DOCK SPACE, SHOP SPACE AND OFFICE SPACE TO WATER-RELATED AREA NON-PROFITS; AND IS IN THE PROCESS OF REDEVELOPING IT'S PIER AND CAMPUS INTO A BARRIER-FREE BASE FOR GREAT LAKES BASED RECREATION AND EDUCATION, INCLUDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW FRESHWATER RESEARCH AND INNOVATION CENTER. TOGETHER WITH ITS PARTNERS, THE DISCOVERY CENTER & PIER PROVIDES PROGRAMMING & EXPERIENCES TO OVER 40,000 PEOPLE A YEAR.
