THE DAILY BREAD MINISTRIES MOBILE LUNCH PROGRAM PREPARES LUNCHES AND DELIVERS THEM VIA FOUR MOBILE LUNCH TRUCKS DIRECTLY INTO LOW INCOME AND VERY LOW INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS TO 58 DESIGNATED STOPS FIVE DAYS A WEEK TO FAMILIES, INDIVIDUALS AND HOMELESS IN NINE COMMUNITIES IN STANISLAUS COUNTY. IN 2020/2021 WE SERVED 217,073 LUNCHES.
COMMUNITY SERVICE SUPPORT: THE HOMELESS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE HOMELESS BY PROVIDING A PLACE FOR THEM TO TAKE A SHOWER, DO A LOAD OF LAUNDRY, HAVE A DESIGNATED ADDRESS TO GET MAIL, ACCESS TO A PHONE, AND REFERRALS TO RESOURCES TO ASSIST THEM. 40 TO 45 INDIVIDUALS ARE SERVED DAILY. THE CLOTHES CLOSET PROGRAM PROVIDED 41,654 ARTICLES OF CLOTHING TO 11,440 PEOPLE IN NEED IN THE COMMUNITY, BOTH THE HOUSED AND THE HOMELESS.
EMERGENCY FOOD BOX PROGRAM: THE PROGRAM PROVIDES FOOD TO PEOPLE IN NEED OF MORE THAN JUST A LUNCH BY PROVIDING A BOX OF FOOD FOR THREE MEALS A DAY FOR THREE DAYS FOR EACH PERSON IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF THE PERSON APPLYING FOR ASSISTANCE. 2,382 FOOD BOXES DISTRIBUTED WHICH PROVIDED 29,586 MEALS TO 3,287 MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
