COLLECT, PRESERVE AND DISSEMINATE THE ARTS, CULTURE AND HISTORY OF THE JAPANESE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE WITH A SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON SANTA CLARA VALLEY. DEVELOP PROGRAMS OF ORAL HISTORY, HOLD WORKSHOPS, FORUMS AND TEACHER TRAINING CLASSES. DEVELOP EXHIBITS ON THE INTERNMENT AND RESETTLEMENT PERIODS. TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLL ON AN OUTREACH PROGRAM INTO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH LECTURES, VISITS TO HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE AND ORGANIZATIONS ABOUT CIVIL RIGHTS AND CIVIL LIBERTIES. PLAN NEW EXHIBITS AND TRAVELING EXHIBITS.


MAINTAIN THE MUSEUM AND LIBRARY, COLLECT ARTIFACTS, PHOTOS, WRITTEN DOCUMENTS AND HISTORY. MAINTAIN EXHIBITS, CONSTRUCT NEW EXHIBITS, GIVE LECTURES AND WALKING TOURS OF JAPANTOWN. CONTINUE TO KEEP THE WEBSITE CURRENT. MAINTAIN RECORDS OF EXHIBITED MATERIALS.
