TO HELP STUDENTS CONTINUALLY IMPROVE ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL ACHEIVEMENT BY PROVIDING FUNDING FOR INNOVATIVE CLASSROOM IDEAS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT STIMULATE AND ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO AIM HIGH.

THE FOUNDATION IN JOINT EFFORTS WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY RAISED FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE STUDENTS OF PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. THE STUDENTS OF PROMISE PROGRAM RECOGNIZES HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS WHO ARE SUCCEEDING IN SCHOOL IN SPITE OF EXTREME OBSTACLES. SOME CHALLENGES THESE STUDENTS FACE ARE HOMELESSNESS, CRITICAL ILLNESS, LOSS OF PARENTS, FOSTER CARE, AND ABUSE. UPON GRADUATION FROM HIGH SCHOOL, STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE $2,000 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR USE IN POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION.
THE FOUNDATION IN JOINT EFFORTS WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY RAISED FUNDS TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO LOCAL ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE CLOVIS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. MANY SCHOOLS IN THE CLOVIS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WOULD LIKE TO IMPLEMENT SPECIAL PROGRAMS AS PART OF THEIR CURRICULUM TO BETTER SERVICE THEIR STUDENTS; HOWEVER, THE SCHOOLS DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDING TO DO SO. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE CAREER/COLLEGE CENTERS, READING PROGRAMS, MUSIC LABS, ETC. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS TO LOCAL ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS TO FUND THESE PROGRAMS.
THE FOUNDATION, IN JOINT EFFORTS WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, RAISED FUNDS TO ASSIST THE GRANTS FOR NEW TEACHERS PROGRAM. WHEN A NEW TEACHER SETS UP A CLASSROOM FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, IT IS COMMON FOR THAT TEACHER TO SPEND SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS OUT OF DOLLARES OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKET. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES A $200 GRANT TO EACH NEW TEACHER TO HELP WITH THESE EXPENSES.
