THE OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES OF FRIENDS OF THE MOUNT SHASTA BRANCH LIBRARY ARE AS FOLLOWS:THE ENHANCEMENT OF THE BASIC SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE MOUNT SHASTA BRANCH LIBRARY BY THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SISKIYOU COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. THE FRIENDS OF THE MOUNT SHASTA BRANCH LIBRARY, INC. MAY ACCOMPLISH THIS OBJECTIVE BY PROVIDING EXPANDED HOURS OF OPERATION FOR THE BRANCH LIBRARY, AUGMENTATION OF THE LIBRARY RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO THE BRANCH AND UPGRADES AND ENHANCEMENTS TO THE PHYSICAL PLANT OCCUPIED BY THE BRANCH. IN THIS WAY THE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL BENEFITS OFFERED BY THE BRANCH LIBRARY WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO MORE CITIZENS OF THE COMMUNITY OF MOUNT SHASTA, CALIFORNIA. THE FRIENDS OF THE MOUNT SHASTA BRANCH LIBRARY EXIST TO PROVIDE THESE ENHANCEMENTS AND AUGMENTATIONS TO THE FUNDING PROVIDED IT BY THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SISKIYOU COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. FUNDING TO ACCOMPLISH THESE OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES IS OBTAINED BY SUCH ACTIVITIES AS ANNUAL AND ONGOING BOOK SALES, ORGANIZED FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES, AND TESTAMENTARY BEQUESTS TO THE FRIENDS OF THE MOUNT SHASTA BRANCH LIBRARY, INC.
