SLCAF ENDEAVORS TO PRESERVE AND PRESENT THE SUGAR LAND AUDITORIUM AS A VENUE FOR CULTURAL ARTS AND A RESOURCE FOR THE COMMUNITY. IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL, SLCAF HAS PRESENTATIONS FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IN A TYPICAL YEAR, APPROXIMATELY 15,000 AUDIENCE MEMBERS SAW THESE PRODUCTIONS. IN 2020 & 2021, DUE TO COVID-19, LIVE, IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS WERE HALTED; THIS HAS CONTINUED INTO 2022.

IN A TYPICAL YEAR, APPROXIMATELY 700-800 AREA STUDENTS (K-12) PARTICIPATE IN THESE WORKSHOPS AND SHOWCASES. THEY ALSO PRODUCE ORIGINAL MUSICAL NUMBERS FOR THE ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA, WHICH IS ATTENDED BY NEARLY 250 AREA RESIDENTS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS. THEY WERE ABLE TO HOST THE FUNDRAISING GALA IN 2020, BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOT FOR 2021 DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. IN APRIL 2022, THEY PLAN TO HOLD THEIR FIRST EVER ART FESTIVAL.
