AUSTIN SUNSHINE CAMP (ASC) PROVIDES LIFE-CHANGING OVERNIGHT CAMP EXPERIENCES AT NO COST TO YOUTH EXPERIENCING POVERTY. ASC PROVIDES THREE PROGRAMS AT TWO CAMPSITES (ZILKER PARK AND LAKE TRAVIS) THAT TEACH COMMUNITY, COMPASSION, AND CREATIVITY TO OVER 500 YOUTH ANNUALLY. EACH CAMPER ATTENDS A 10-DAY, 9-NIGHT OVERNIGHT CAMP SESSION, AND MANY ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR YEAR-ROUND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. THROUGH ASC'S SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM, CAMPER AMBASSADOR PROGRAM (CAP), AND COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM (CIT), AUSTIN SUNSHINE CAMPS CREATES A SAFE, NURTURING SPACE FOR CHILDREN TO LOOK BEYOND THEIR STRESSFUL CURRENT SITUATIONS AND SEE INFINITE POSSIBILITIES FOR THEIR FUTURES.
