EDUCATION:UPPO OFFERS EDUCATIONAL EVENTS FOR BOTH MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS. ITS MAIN EDUCATIONAL EVENTS INCLUDE WEBINARS AND THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE WITH MEMBERSHIP BUSINESS MEETING.ANNUAL CONFERENCE:UPPO HAS CONDUCTED AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE WHICH IS TYPICALLY A THREE-DAY EDUCATIONAL EVENT THAT PROVIDES IN-DEPTH EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR UNCLAIMED PROPERTY PROFESSIONALS. IN ADDITION, THERE IS ALSO AN EXHIBITOR AREA. THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-2023 ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE AND REPORTED INCOME OF $676,614 AND EXPENSES OF $422,441. THERE ARE TRACKS BASED ON LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE; BASIC, INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED. UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION INDICATING THEY HAVE MASTERED THE BASICS OF UNCLAIMED PROPERTY COMPLIANCE. PARTICIPATION WAS LIMITED TO 65 PEOPLE TO ALLOW UPPO TO MONITOR THE PROGRAM AND MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS NECESSARY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDED NET INCOME OF $21,912.
