THE PURPOSE OF THE SYMPHONY LEAGUE OF BEAUMONT SHALL BE TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE THE GROWTH OF THE SYMPHONY OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS AND TO FOSTER AND ENCOURAGE MUSCIAL EDUCATION, PARTICIPATION, AND APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERSHIP AND THE PUBLIC.

SUPPORT FOR THE SYMPHONY OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PURPOSE CLAUSE OF THE LEAGUE BY-LAWS.
YOUTH PROGRAMS: VARIOUS PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS WHICH EXPOSE PARTICIPANTS TO THE SYMPHONY OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS AND HELP FOSTER AN APPRECIATION FOR THE ARTS. PARTICIPATION IN THE YOUTH GUILD IS OPEN TO ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. PARTICIPANTS IN THE SYMPHONY BELLES, BEAU, AND DEBUTANTE PROGRAMS MUST BE NOMINATED BY A LEAGUE MEMBER AND SELECTED BY THE APPROPRIATE SELECTION COMMITTEE. SELECTION FOR PARTICIPATION IS BASED IN PART OF THE NOMINEE'S PERSONAL AND FAMILY COMMITMENT TO THE LEAGUE AND THE SYMPHONY. THE LEAGUE ALSO SPONSORS AN AFTER-SCHOOL STRINGS PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDE FREE STRING INSTRUMENT LESSONS, AND AN ANNUAL STRING COMPETITION. BOTH THE AFTER-SCHOOL STRINGS PROGRAM AND THE STRING COMPETITION ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THE LEAGUE PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INSTRUMENTAL RENTALS FOR LOW-INCOME CHILDREN.
MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITIES: VARIOUS ACTIVITIES AND PUBLICATIONS TO KEEP LEAGUE MEMBERS INFORMED ABOUT EVENTS INVOLVING THE LEAGUE AND THE SYMPHONY.
