(MTAB), A COMPONENT UNIT OF THE CITY OF HOUSTON (THE CITY), IS A TEXAS NONPROFIT CORPORATION CREATED BY THE CITY IN 1970 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL INTERESTS OF THE PEOPLE OF HOUSTON THROUGH A CONTINUING PROGRAM OF ARTISTIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND CULTURAL EVENTS AT THE MILLER OUTDOOR THEATRE, AN AMPHITHEATER IN HERMANN PARK OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE CITY. MILLER OUTDOOR THEATRE OFFERS AN EXTENSIVE SEASON OF CULTURALLY AND ARTISTICALLY DIVERSE PERFORMANCES, FREE OF CHARGE TO THE PUBLIC.
