THE DALLAS COUNTY HERITAGE SOCIETY (DCHS) MANAGES OLD CITY PARK. THIS MANAGEMENT INCLUDES PRESERVING REPRESENTATIVE STRUCTURES, ARTIFACTS AND OTHER HISTORICAL MATERIALS RELATED TO THE HISTORY OF DALLAS AND NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS AND PRESENTING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO THE PUBLIC. THE SOCIETY ALSO FACILITATES COMMUNITY RECREATIONAL PROGRAMMING IN THE PARK.

THROUGH ITS OPERATIONS AT OLD CITY PARK IN DALLAS, THE SOCIETY PRESERVES REPRESENTATIVE STRUCTURES, ARTIFACTS, AND OTHER HISTORICAL MATERIAL RELATED TO THE HISTORY OF DALLAS AND NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS. THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, THE SOCIETY INTERPRETS THESE HISTORICAL MATERIALS TO THE PUBLIC. THROUGH RECREATIONAL PROGRAMMING, THE SOCIETY UTILIZES ITS PARK LAND AS A GATHERING PLACE FOR THE COMMUNITY. THE PARK SERVES APPROXIMATELY 50,000 VISITORS PER YEAR. A MUSEUM GIFT SHOP FEATURES ITEMS RELATED TO THE PARK AND HISTORY.
