TO PROMOTE THE INTERESTS OF UNITED BANKRUPTCY JUDGES GENERALLY; TO UTILIZE OUR EXPERTISE ON ISSUES OF BANKRUPTCY LAW AND PROCEDURE, TO FOSTER SCHOLORSHIP, PROVIDE OPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATION AND NETWORKING

THE NCBJ ORGANIZES AND PRESENTS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE THAT IS ONE OF THE FOREMOST CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS CONCERNING BANKRUPTCY AND INSOLVENCY-RELATED ISSUES IN THE UNITED STATES. THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE TYPICALY ATTRACTS AN AUDIENCE OF BANKRUPTCY JUDGES, ATTORNEYS, ACCOUNTANTS AND REORGANIZATION PROFESSIONALS IN THE RANGE OF 1500 TO 2000 FROM THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD.


THE NCBJ HAS A NUMBER OF STANDING AND SPECIAL COMMITTEES OF ITS MEMBERS THAT PURSUE ACTIVITIES ON BEHALF OF THE ORGANIZATION AND OF INTEREST TO ITS MEMBERS. VARIOUS NCBJ COMMITTEES 1)PROVIDE LIAISON SERVICES WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN THE LEGAL, BANKRUPTCY AND INSOLVENCY FIELDS; 2)PREPARE AND PUBLISH A NEWSLETTER, THE CONFERENCE NEWS FOR NCBJ MEMBERS; 3)REVIEW AND MAKE ENDOWMENT GRANTS; AND 4) PERFORM OTHER SERVICES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE NCBJ AND ITS MEMBERS.
