COMMUNICATIONS: HELPS THE BOSTON BAR ASSOCIATION IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS AND DEVELOPS TOOLS AND TACTICS FOR IMPLEMENTATION; FORMULATES MESSAGE DEVELOPMENT, CONSISTENT WITH THE BBA'S MISSION, ACROSS A VARIETY OF PLATFORMS; COUNSELS LEADERS TO COMMUNICATE WITH PRECISION, SPEED, AND CLARITY; COACHES LAWYERS AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE LEGAL COMMUNITY TO USE A WIDE VARIETY OF COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORMS, INCLUDING NEW MEDIA, WITH CONFIDENCE AND INTEGRITY
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS: ADVISE ASSOCIATION LEADERSHIP AND MEMBERSHIP OF PUBLIC POLICY DEVELOPMENTS OF INTEREST TO THE BAR AND OF SIGNIFICANCE TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE.
COMMUNITY SERVICE: THE ROLE OF THE BBA IN SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY IS PRIMARILY IN-KIND. STAFF OF THE BBA MANAGE AND ADMINISTER THE IOLTA GRANTS PROGRAM WHICH INCLUDES RECRUITING PROSPECTIVE GRANTEES, DISTRIBUTING RFPS, REVIEWING APPLICATIONS AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE BBF BOARD OF TRUSTEES. STAFF COMMUINICATE AND WORK WITH THE GRANTEES THROUGHOUT THE GRANT CYCLE. STAFF ALSO ACT AS LIAISON TO THE IOLTA COMMITTEE. THE BBA STAFF PROVIDE THE STAFFING FOR THE PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF THE ADAM'S BENEFIT, THE LARGEST FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY OF THE BBF. THESE FUNDS SUPPORT THE GRANTING TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT BOSTON.
