THE LEAGUE IS COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. THE LEAGUE IS ALSO COMMITTED TO ENHANCING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

TRAINING LEAGUE MEMBERS TO BECOME VOLUNTEERS THROUGH HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL FOR THE COMMUNITY OF ABILENE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL EVENTS HELP TO RAISE THE ADDITIONAL RESOURCES NEEDED FOR THE LEAGUE TO PROVIDE ITS ANNUAL PROJECTS FOR THE COMMUNITY.


EVERY YEAR, THE LEAGUE CHOOSES SEVERAL PROJECTS TO FUND AND PROMOTE THAT BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY. IN CURRENT YEAR, THE PROJECTS WERE COMMUNITY PARTNERS, HOMELESS YOUTH PROJECT, PROVIDING ASSISTANCE AND VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE (P.A.V.E.), SUDS BUDS, BACKPACK FOR KIDS, AND CALF.
