DEDICATED TO THE SUPPORT OF FAMILIES OF CHILDREN LIVING WITH CANCER AND BLOOD DISORDERS TREATED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS MEDICAL BRANCH AT GALVESTON, TEXAS.

RESIDENTIAL SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER AND BLOOD DISORDERS AND THEIR SIBLINGS AND FOR CHILDREN OF ADULT CANCER PATIENTS. WE USE THE ORGANIZATION'S FUNDS TO PAY ABOUT 95% OF CAMPER FEES AND EXPENSES ($500 PER CAMPER). WE HAVE TAKEN 70-75 CHILDREN, AGES 6-15, DURING THE LAST WEEK OF JUNE TO THE FACILITIES AT CAMP FOR ALL IN BURTON, TEXAS. WE EMPHASIZE NORMALCY AT CAMP AND PROVIDE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL RELIEF FROM THE PATIENT'S DISEASE.
HOLIDAY PARTY : THIS HOLIDAY GATHERING BENEFITS PATIENTS, SIBLINGS, AND IMMEDIATE FAMILY. WE USE THE ORGANIZATION'S FUNDS TO PAY ALL EXPENSES (DINNER, PICTURES WITH SANTA, AND ICE SKATING). WE RECEIVE ABOUT 150 GUESTS IN DECEMBER AT MOODY GARDENS IN GALVESTON, TEXAS. THIS PROVIDES EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO OUR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON.
