SOUND ART DBA IN THE BAND IS DEDICATED TO EMPOWERING THE YOUTH OF LOS ANGELES AND BEYOND THROUGH ACCESS TO MUSIC EDUCATION AND MENTORING IN COMMUNITY CENTERS, SCHOOLS AND ONLINE. FOUNDED TO FULFILL THE NEED FOR AN AFFORDABLE AND CULTURALLY RELEVANT SOLUTION TO CUTS IN FUNDING FOR MUSIC EDUCATION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, STUDENTS WORK TOGETHER TO UNLOCK THEIR CREATIVITY AND BUILD SELF-ESTEEM THROUGH THE MENTORSHIP OF PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS AND CREATE A LIFELONG INTEREST IN AND UNDERSTANDING OF MUSIC.
