THE CONFERENCE OF LATIN AMERICAN & CARIBBEAN EXPRESS COMPANIES PROMOTES AND DEFENDS THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBER COMPANIES AND,MORE IMPORTANTLY, THOSE OF THE USERS OF THEIR SERVICES IN THE REGION. THE ORGANIZATION ADVOCATES FOR FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF TRADE FACILITATION MEASURES, CUSTOMS MODERNIZATION AND EFFECTIVE AUTOMATION OF IMPORT AND EXPORT PROCESSES.

BI-MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD BY CLADECS TECHNICAL COMMITTEE, REVIEWING CURRENT REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTS, BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE. THE COMMITTEE MAKES DECISIONS ON NECESSARY ACTIONS. AN ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING IS HELD EVERY NOVEMBER. THIS MEETING IS ATTENDED BY REPRESENTATIVES OF CLADECS 16 NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CARIBBEAN NATIONS SERVED BY CLADEC MEMBERS, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GLOBAL EXPRESS ASSOCIATION, THE EXPRESS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA AND GUESTS SPEAKERS AND PARTICIPANTS. MANY OF THESE REPRESENT REGIONAL CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATIONS OR GOVERNMENTS. CLADECS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ATTENDS BI-MONTHLY MEETINGS HOSTED BY THE GLOBAL EXPRESS ASSOCIATION WITH PARTICIPATION BY REPRESENTATIVES FROM ALL REGIONAL ASSOCIATIONS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.
