THE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO IMPROVE AND ENHANCE THE AVAILABILITY OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS IN HARRISON COUNTY, TEXAS AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.

THE MARSHALL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION IS A 501( C)(3) CHARITABLE FOUNDATION THAT WAS FOUNDED IN 1995. THE PEOPLE OF HARRISON COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA DESERVE QUALITY MEDICAL RESOURCES. THROUGH A BROAD-BASED PROGRAM OF FUNDING, THE FOUNDATION EXISTS TO PROMOTE GROWTH OF THE MEDICAL CENTER. THE BOARD'S MISSION OF MARSHALL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR GOOD SHEPHERD MEDICAL CENTER-MARSHALL BY GENERATING, SOLICITING AND RECEIVING FUNDS, GIFTS, AND BEQUESTS THAT ASSIST IN CARRYING OUT BENEFICIAL HEALTH CARE ACTIVITIES AS GSMC MARSHALL. MARSHALL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION IS TO SUPPORT GOOD SHEPHERD MEDICAL CENTER-MARSHALL IN ITS EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND MEDICAL SERVICES OF CASS AND MARION COUNTY COMMUNITIES. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES ASSISTANCE WITH THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE MEDICAL CENTER'S CURRENT FACILITIES AND SERVICES. THE MARSHALL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION IS A 501( C)(3) CHARITABLE INSTIUTION GOVERNED BY A BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMITTED TO: - RECEIVING AND MAINTAINING FUNDS FOR MEETING THE HEALTHCARE NEEDS OF THE RESIDENTS OF OUR AREA. - SUPPORTING MEDICAL EDUCATION THROUGH THE POLLY CARGILL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP. - ENGAGING IN GENERAL HEALTHCARE INSTRUCTION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. - APPLYING FOR GRANTS.
