PROVIDE MENTORING & TEACHING TO HELP CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY TO ATTAIN A HIGHER LEVEL OF LEARNING WHICH ENABLES THEN TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE STAYBILITY OF THE COMMUNITY AS ADULTS.

THE PEOPLE PRIDE PROGRAM GREW FROM AN AVERAGE OF 9 STUDENTS PER ELEMENTARY CLASS TO 11 IN 2023. WE BELIEVE THIS GROWTH WAS DUE TO A MORE COMPLETE RECOVERY FORM COVID RESTRICTIONS AND PARENTS WILLING TO ALLOW STUDENTS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUTSIDE SCHOOL PROGRAMS SUCH AS PEOPLE PRIDE ELEMENTARY CLASSES MEET DAILY AND WERE PROVIDED UTORING WITH HOMEWORK, TEST PREPARATION, PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND SPIRITUAL GUDANCDE. OUR TEACHERS ARE EXPERENCED CERTIFIED EDUCATORS, WHO EMPHASIZE GRADE APPROPRIATE LEARNING OF MATH, READING, ENGLISH, AND SOCIAL STUDIES. WE ALSO PROVIDE DAILY NUTRITION AND A BIBLE LESSON. THE STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO MAINTAI AT LEAST A "B" AVERAGE IN ALL SUBJECTS TO REMAIN ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM. DURING SUMMER, OUR ELEMENTARY CLASSES EXTEND THEEIR DA AND FOCUS ON PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT SCHOOL SEMESTER, EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. IN ADDITION TO 4TH AND 5TH GRADE ELEMENTARY CLASSES, WE MONITORED GRADES AND TUTORING AS REQUESTED FOR 50 SECONDARY STUDENTS IN JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGHH SCHOOLS. TEACHERS KEEP CLOSE CONTACT WITH THE OLDER STUDENTS AND PROVIDE AND PROVIDE ENCOURAGEMENT AND MENTORING. THERE WERE 22 PEOPLE PRIDE SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS AT 9 TEXAS UNIVERSITIES IN THE FALL OF 2023. SCHOLARSHIPS INCLUDE TUITION, REGISTRATION FEES AND BOOKS. 4 PEOPLE PRIDE STUDENTS RECEIVED BACHELOR'S DEGREES FROM 4 DIFFERNT UNIVERSITIES. THE PROGRAM EMPLOYES 5 TEACHERS AND OPERATES 5 PASSENGER VANS FOR STUDENT TRANSPORTATION. WE ALSO MAINTAIN FIVE CLASSROOMS. TEACHERS PROVIDE OVER 3500 HOURS OF ADDITIONAL EDUCATION OT OUR STUDENTS IN 2023 AS WELL AS THOUSANDS OF MEALS AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT.
