PROVIDE MENTORING & TEACHING TO HELP CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY TO ATTAIN A HIGHER LEVEL OF LEARNING WHICH ENABLES THEN TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE STAYBILITY OF THE COMMUNITY AS ADULTS.

THE PEOPLE PRIDE PROGRAM BEGAN THE YEAR WITH LIMITED IN PERSON CLASSES DUE TO COVID RESRICTIONS. THERE WAS GREAT IMPROVEMENT IN LEARNING CONDITIONS OVER THE SUMMER AND FALL SEMESSTERS. OUR STUDENTS COTINUED TO EXCEL IN GRADES AND TESTING. WE BELEIVE THE TUTORING AND MENTORING OUR PROGRAM PROVIDED GAVE THEM AN ADVANTAGE OVER OTHER PUBLIC STUDENTS. WE WERE ABLE TO ONCE AGAIN UTILIZE OUR FIVE VANS FO TRANSPORTATION IN THE LATE SPRING AND RESUME IN PERSON CLASSES. OUR 48 ELEMENTARY STUDENTS MET DAILY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND WERE PROVIDED HELP WITH HOMWORK, A SNACK AND BIBLE LESSONS. IN ADDITION, THE TEACHER SUPPLY WORKBOOKS AND OTHER LEARNING MATERIAL FOR THE STUDENTS TO TAKE HOME. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO CONTINUE OUR SUMMER PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES WEEKLY EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
THERE WERE 28 SCHOLARSHIPS STUDENTS AT 12 UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE STATE. SCHOLARSHIPS INCLUDED TUITION, MANDTORY CLASS EXPENSE AND BOOKS. WE HAD TWO COLLEGE STUDENTS GRADUATE WITH DEGREES. THE PROGRAM EMPLOYS 5 TEACHERS, PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 3300 HOURS OF VIRTUAL AND IN PERSON TUTORING AND OVER 1000 SNACKS.
