THE PARIS PUMP TRACK PROGRAM BUILT THE BICYCLE TRACK LOCATED RIGHT OUTSIDE OF LOVE CIVIC CENTER. THIS PUMP TRACK IS THE LARGEST IN THE UNITED STATES AND WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE PARIS, LAMAR COUNTY A BIKING DESTINATION. THE PUMP TRACK IS DESIGNED TO ATTRACT SOME OF THE MOST ELITE COMPETITIONS IN THE WORLD. ALSO INCLUDED IN THE DESIGN IS A LOOP FOR NEW RIDERS MAKING IT ATTRACTIVE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. IT IS A CITY PARK AND IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
THE NORTHEAST TEXAS TRAIL PROGRAM IS COMMITTED TO TRANSFORM 130 MILES OF UNUSED, ABANDONED RAILWAY CORRIDOR INTO A MULTI-USE TRAIL. RAIL-TRAILS ARE EXTREMELY POPULAR AS RECREATION AND TRANSPORTATION CORRIDORS AND ARE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. DURING 2021, FUNDS WERE EXPENDED ON THE BAGWELL TO CLARKSVILLE SECTION OF THE TRAIL.
TRAIL DE PARIS IS A PROJECT ADOPTED TO CONVERT LAND PREVIOUSLY USED AS RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY THROUGH PARIS, TX AND NORTHEAST TEXAS TO A SCENIC WALKING AND BICYCLING TRAIL.
RENO RAIL IS A PROJECT ADOPTED TO CONVERT LAND, PREVIOUSLY USED AS RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY THROUGH RENO, TX AND NE TEXAS TO A SCENIC WALKING/BICYCLING TRAIL. THE PARIS DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION PROGRAM SEEKS TO DEVELOP INVOLVEMENT AND GROWTH AROUND THE DOWNTOWN AREA. THE BAGWELL TO CLARKSVILLE PROJECT IS A TRAIL PROJECT ADOPTED TO CONVERT LAND, PREVIOUSLY USED AS RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM BAGWELL TO CLARKSVILLE IN NE TEXAS, TO A SCENIC WALKING/BICYCLING TRAIL.
