PDAP OFFERED SERVICES THAT WORK WITH AT-RISK AND HIGH-RISK INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO PREVENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE, DELAY ITS ONSET, AND REDUCE SUBSTANCE ABUSE-RELATED BEHAVIORS. PDAP PROVIDED THESE SERVICES TO ADOLESCENTS (10-17), YOUNG ADULTS (18-26), OLDER GROUP (27 & UP) PARENTS AND FAMILIES IN MIDLAND COUNTY TEXAS.EVERY ACTIVITY THAT PDAP ENGAGED IN HAD BEEN RESEARCHED AND PROVEN EFFECTIVE TO REDUCE SUBSTANCE ABUSE BY THE NATIONAL CENTER OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION (CSAP). OUR PRIMARY FOCUS WAS TO IMPROVE UPON SERVING MORE FAMILIES AND ADOLESCENTS IN NEED, AND REDUCE UNDERAGE DRINKING AND ILLICIT DRUG USE IN MIDLAND COUNTY TEXAS.SPECIFIC PDAP PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDED: FAMILY AND INDIVIDUAL COACHING WITH A LICENSED CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY COUNSELOR OR PDAP TRAINED STAFF MEMBER, PEER ORIENTED SUPPORT GROUPS, SOBER SOCIAL FUNCTIONS, A SAFE PLACE FOR INDIVIDUALS TO GO AFTER SCHOOL, FAMILY AND PEER ORIENTED GROUP RETREATS, REDUCTION OF UNDERAGE DRINKING AND COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION THROUGH TH
