EAST TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER REGIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM (THE "SYSTEM") IS THE PARENT COMPANY WHICH WHOLLY-OWNS AND OPERATES 18-SUBSIDIARY ORGANIZATIONS THAT OPERATE PRIMARILY IN TEXAS. THE "SYSTEM" IS HEADQUARTERED IN TYLER, TEXAS AND ITS OPERATIONS EXTENDS IN ALL DIRECTIONS FROM TYLER, IN AN APPROXIMATE 100-MILE RADIUS.THE "SYSTEM" CONSISTS OF 10 HOSPITALS, OVER 100 EMPLOYED PHYSICIANS, OTHER HEALTHCARE SERVICES SUCH AS CANCER TREATMENT AND HOME HEALTH, AS WELL AS OTHER OPERATIONS THAT INCLUDE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
