PROVIDING SAFETY, SHELTER, AND EDUCATION FOR VICTIMS OF FAMILY VIOLENCE, DATING VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND OTHER VIOLENT CRIME AS WELL AS PROMOTING PUBLIC COMPASSION AND AWARENESS IN ORDER TO REDUCE VIOLENCE IN THE COMMUNITY.

PROVIDED COUNSELING, LEGAL/PERSONAL ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF FAMILY VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT AND OTHER VICTIMS OF CRIME AT EMERGENCY SHELTER, HOTLINE, AND COUNSELING FOR INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS. HOTLINE CALLS TOTALED 2,894 AND 923 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED NON-RESIDENTIAL CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES IN 2021.
PROVIDED EMERGENCY SHELTER FOR 72 WOMEN AND 89 CHILDREN IN 2021. SUPPORT SERVICES FOR WOMEN TO PROMOTE SAFETY, LIFE SKILLS, SELF-SUFFICIENCY. CHILD CARE IS PROVIDED TO CHILDREN WHO LIVE IN THE EMERGENCY SHELTER WHILE THEIR MOTHERS WORK TOWARD GOALS TO REBUILD THEIR LIVES. PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN INCLUDE COMPONENTS OF PREVENTION AND EDUCATION IN EVERY ACTIVITY.
229 PUBLIC EDUCATION AND PRIMARY PREVENTION PROGRAMS WERE PROVIDED TO 26,465 INDIVIDUALS IN CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, AND OTHER GROUPS. THE PROGRAMS COVERED SEXUAL ASSAULT, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, & OTHER CRIME VICTIM SERVICES. 37 PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS WERE PROVIDED TO 618 PROFESSIONALS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, MEDICAL, HUMAN SERVICES, CLERGY AND TEACHERS. 41 VOLUNTEER TRAININGS WERE PROVIDED TO 234 PARTICIPANTS.
