THE ASSOCIATION FOR UNIVERSITY BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC RESEARCH (AUBER) IS INVOLVED WITH TWO CONFERENCES DURING THE YEAR, BOTH WERE HELD VIRTUALLY IN 2020-2021. AUBER HOSTS A FALL CONFERENCE EACH YEAR FOR MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION, GRADUATE STUDENTS, ECONOMISTS, AND RESEARCHERS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. THE CONFERENCE IS HOSTED BY AN AUBER MEMBER ORGANIZATION AND INCLUDES KEYNOTE SESSIONS RELATED TO NATIONAL ECONOMIC TRENDS AND FORECASTING AS WELL AS BREAKOUT SESSIONS FOR RESEARCHERS, DIRECTORS, AND COMMUNICATORS. AUBER COLLABORATES WITH THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS ECONOMISTS (NABE) FOR THEIR SPRING CONFERENCE AUBER MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AND CHAIR SEVERAL SESSIONS AT THE TWO-DAY MEETING. THE NABE CONFERENCE ALSO PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR AUBER TO HOLD ITS SPRING BOARD MEETING.ASSOCIATION MEMBERS MONITOR ECONOMIC CONDITIONS IN THEIR LOCAL AREAS AND ADVISE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE DECISION MAKERS ABOUT LOCAL TRENDS. ASSOCIATION MEMBERS WORKED WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATORS TO FULFILL THEIR SERVICE OBLIGATIONS TO THE PUBLIC.
