THE INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CHARTER SCHOOL ("THE SCHOOL"), A 501(C)(3) TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION, IS A PUBLIC CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL LOCATED IN BRONX, NEW YORK. THE SCHOOL OPENED IN JANUARY 2006 AND CURRENTLY OPERATES CLASSES FOR NINTH TO TWELFTH GRADE. THE SCHOOL HAS AN EXTENDED SCHOOL DAY THAT FEATURES 60 AND 90 MINUTE CLASS PERIODS STUDENTS RECEIVE 180 MINUTES PER WEEK IN EACH CORE SUBJECT, WHICH, ACCORDING TO MANAGEMENT, IS VIEWED FAVORABLY BY BOTH PARENTS AND TEACHERS. FURTHER SUPPORTING STUDENTS, THE SCHOOL OFFERS AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING, AND DURING JANUARY STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND 'SATURDAY ACADEMY' FOR THREE HOURS. THE PURPOSE OF SATURDAY ACADEMY IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH SUBJECT INTENSIVE STUDY FOR REGENTS EXAMS.

THE INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL IMPLEMENTS AN ACADEMICALLY RIGOROUS REGENTS AND COLLEGE-PREPARATORY CURRICULUM THAT ELEVATES STUDENTS' INTELLECTUAL CAPACITY AND PROVIDES A SUPERIOR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION. THE CHARTER SCHOOL HAS GAINED NATIONAL AND LOCAL RECOGNITION FOR ITS ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT. IN 2016 INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP BECAME THE FIRST CHARTER SCHOOL IN THE BRONX TO SUCCESSFULLY OPEN A NEW FACILITY WITH A $17,750,000 MUNICIPAL BOND FINANCING ISSUED BY BUILD NYC. THE CHARTER SCHOOL IS OPERATING IN A 28,500 SQUARE FOOT, THREE-STORY, STATE OF THE ART FACILITY THAT CONTAINS 17 CLASSROOMS AND NINE FLEX ROOMS TO SUPPORT STUDENT AND FACULTY ACTIVITIES AND WITH THE CAPACITY TO ACCOMMODATE APPROXIMATELY 400 STUDENTS. FROM 2014 THROUGH 2017, THE SCHOOL PLACED IN THE TOP 1% OF HIGH SCHOOLS AND WAS THE RECIPIENT OF A BRONZE AWARD FROM THE US NEWS & WORLD REPORT. DURING THE HEIGHT OF THE PANDEMIC INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP RECEIVED RECOGNITION FOR BEST HIGH SCHOOLS NATIONALLY AND BEST CHARTER SCHOOL IN 2020 AND 2021. THE CHARTER SCHOOL HAS ACHIEVED AN AVERAGE GRADUATION RATE OF 95% OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS. THE MAJORITY OF GRADUATES MATRICULATED INTO A 4-YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY. THE RESULTS ON THE NEW YORK STATE REGENT EXAM SCORES FAR EXCEEDED THOSE IN THE NEIGHBORING COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICTS, THE CITY AND THE STATE. IN 2021 WHEN MOST NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP REMAINED OPEN IN A HYBRID MODEL AND PREPARED STUDENTS FOR THE REGENTS EXAMS AND KEPT SENIORS ON TRACK TO GRADUATE. THE RECENT RELEASE OF THE NYS REPORT CARD ON MARCH 10, 2022 DEMONSTRATES THAT INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP ACHIEVED A 91% GRADUATION RATE FAR EXCEEDING THE RATES OF OTHER SCHOOLS THAT RANGED FROM 0%-52%.IN 2020 INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP RECEIVED AN AECN PLANNING GRANT FROM $975,000.00 FROM THE WALTON FAMILY FOUNDATION IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE CHARTER SCHOOL'S PLANS TO EXPAND DOWN TO A MIDDLE SCHOOL. SUNY CSI APPROVED THE EXPANSION ON JUNE 16, 2021. WHEN A TEMPORARY SPACE IS IDENTIFIED THE MIDDLE SCHOOL WILL BE LAUNCHED BY THE FALL OF 2022 WHILE WAITING FOR THE PERMANENT BUILDING TO BE COMPLETED IN 2024.
