TO PROVIDE THE RESOURCES NECESSARY TO ENABLE ROCHESTER ANIMAL SERVICES TO MORE EFFECTIVELY SERVE THE PUBLIC'S ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL, PET STERILIZATION, AND PET ADOPTION INTERESTS.

PURCHASE OF MEDICINE, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, DISEASE TEST KITS, MICROCHIP IDENTIFICATION, ETC. TO AID IN THE TREATMENT AND ADOPTION OF ANIMALS IN CARE OF ROCHESTER ANIMAL SERVICES. THIS INCLUDED CLINICAL SERVICES FOR OVER 1,800 ANIMALS.
ENRICHMENT AND PLAY YARD EXPENSE SUPPORT. PROVIDED ENRICHMENT SUPPORT FOR OVER 2,100 ANIMALS, INCLUDING THE INTAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 1,150 DOGS.
OUTREACH AND SUPPORT. THIS PROGRAM IS FOCUSED ON ADDRESSING BARRIERS IN ACCESS TO PET RESOURCES. THE FRIENDS/RAS TEAM PROVIDES PET FOOD, SUPPLIES, VACCINATIONS, MICROCHIPS, IDENTIFICATION TAGS, AND OTHER SUPPLIES PLUS VETERINARY CARE AND SPAY/NEUTER TO SUPPORT PETS STAYING WITH THEIR FAMILIES. DURING 2021, WE SUPPORTED OVER 4,000 PETS IN APPROXIMATELY 2,800 HOUSEHOLDS. IN ADDITION, DURING 2021, VSAS SUBSIDIZED APPROXIMATELY 235 SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES THROUGH THEIR NO COST VOUCHER PROGRAM. APPROXIMATELY 520 ADOPTIONS WERE MADE THROUGH THE SENIORS TO SENIORS PROGRAM.
