ISSION OF ART SPARK TEXAS IS TO CHALLENGE THE PERCEPTIONS OF HOW PEOPLE CONTRIBUTE BY CREATING AN ARTS-INSPIRED INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES.

COMMUNITY ARTS PROVIDED WORKSHOPS, CLASSES, AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ARTISTS WITH DISABILITIES TO SELL THEIR WORK AT LOCAL AND STATEWIDE EVENTS. IN 2021 AND 2022, WE WERE ABLE TO OFFER INPERSON EXHIBITS AND CLASSES AT OUR NEW OFFICE LOCATION, WHILE STILL PROVIDING ARTIST WORKSHOPS AND CONFERENCE VIRTUALLY. WE HOSTED OUR FIRST MAY DAY ARTS AND MUSIC CELEBRATION AS WELL AS A BBQ AND PIE SUMMER ART EXHIBITION. APPROXIMATELY 2,174 EMERGING AND PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS WERE OFFERED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICE AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN VISUAL ART, PERFORMANCE, CREATIVE WRITING, DANCE, AND MEDIA. THE CREATIVE FORCES PROGRAM, FORMERLY DISTINGUISHED ARTIST VETERAN, CONTINUES TO SERVE OVER 600 VETERANS BY OFFERING MULTI ARTS IN PERSON RETREATS AND VIRTUAL CLASSES ACROSS THE STATE. WE ALSO COHOSTED A VIRTUAL EXHIBITION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BEE CAVES ARTS FOUNDATION AND OFFERED FISCAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO ONE LOCAL ARTS ORGANIZATION.
