HOMES 4 WOUNDED HEROES: MILITARY WARRIORS SUPPORT FOUNDATION AWARDS MORTGAGE-FREE HOMES TO COMBAT WOUNDED HEROES AND GOLD STAR FAMILIES FROM ALL AMERICAN CONFLICTS. THE HOMES ARE FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE SEVERE AND/OR UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCES DUE TO THEIR INJURIES RECEIVED WHILE SERVING OUR COUNTRY. IN ADDITION TO THE HOME, THE FAMILIES WILL RECEIVE 3 YEARS OF FAMILY AND FINANCIAL MENTORING.
SKILLS 4 LIFE: THIS IS A PROGRAM THAT IS AN OUTDOOR RECREATION PROGRAM OFFERING ACTIVITIES SUCH AS GOLF, HUNTING, FISHING AND FAMILY GET AWAYS. THIS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE TO COMBAT WOUNDED HEROES, GOLD STAR SPOUSES, AS WELL AS, GOLD STAR CHILDREN. THIS PROGRAM NOT ONLY OFFERS ACCESS TO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS, BUT ALSO PROVIDES PEER TO PEER MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES.
LEADERSHIP LIVES HERE: THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES DONATED HOMES AND RENOVATES THE PROPERTIES IN PREPARATION FOR SALE. ONCE READY TO BE SOLD, THERE IS AN EXCLUSIVE "VETERANS FIRST OPPORTUNITY" (VFO) TO ACTIVE AND RETIRED MILITARY IN WHICH THEY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THE HOME. THE VFO PROVIDES POST-PURCHASE INCENTIVES THAT ENCOURAGES PRIDE IN HOME OWNERSHIP ALONG WITH REINVESTMENT INTO THE PROPERTY AND COMMUNITY. NET PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF EACH PROPERTY ARE REINVESTED INTO MWSF PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT VETERANS IN TRANSITION TO CIVILIAN LIFE.
