STUDENT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: DEVELOPED FSPREP, A CULINARY CURRICULUM FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS, CURRENTLY USED BY 264 SCHOOLS IN TEXAS. PROMOTE AND SUPPORT NATIONAL RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION PROSTART EDUCATION PROGRAMS; SUPPORT AND PROVIDE FORUM FOR STATEWIDE CULINARY COMPETITIONS LEADING TO A NATIONAL PROSTART COMPETITION.
TEACHER/TRAINER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: TRF PRODUCES AN ANNUAL CULINARY EDUCATORS TRAINING CONFERENCE WITH 67 ATTENDING. AN FS-PREP TEACHER TRAINING IS HELD ANNUALLY. APPROXIMATELY 43 TEACHERS ARE CERTIFIED IN FOOD SAFETY AT THE ANNUALY FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE CONFERENCE. TRF ALSO SUPPORTS AN EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM DURING THE SUMMER PROVIDING HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN A RESTAURANT ENVIRONMENT FOR THE CULINARY EDUCATORS.
TEXAS RESTAUTANT RELIEF FUND: TRF ADMINISTERS THE TEXAS RESAURANT RELIEF FUND TO PROVIDE IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL RELIEF TO TEXAS INDEPENDENT RESTAURATEURS WITH FUNDS DESIGNED TO SAVE EMPLOYEE JOBS.
