THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR HEALTH SCIENCE STUDENTS AND OTHERS INTERESTED IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD. IT ALSO PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR HEALTH SCIENCE TEACHERS AND ADVISORS WHO ATTENDED MEETINGS WITH THEIR STUDENTS. ONE VIRTUAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE HELD IN FALL 2021 HAD 305 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS. ONE VIRTUAL REGIONAL COMPETITION HELD IN WINTER 2022 HAD 1251 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS. THE IN-PERSON STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE HAD 798 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS IN APRIL 2022. THE ASSOCIATION HAD 2,400 MEMBERS.
