THERAPY TEAM PROGRAM: VOLUNTEERS AND PETS VISIT HEALTH CARE FACILITIES. ANIMAL ASSISTED ACTIVITIES AND THERAPY. VOLUNTEERS DONATED 6043 HOURS, PROVIDING FACILITY VISITS TO MORE THAN 10,587 INDIVIDUALS.
EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS: VOLUNTEERS GAVE 16 PRESENTATIONS TO SCHOOLS, ADULT CARE FACILITIES, AND OTHER GROUPS TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF CONTACT WITH ANIMALS. THE PRESENTATIONS CONSISTED OF 54.25 VOLUNTEER HOURS AND AFFECTED 699 PEOPLE.
CRISIS ANIMAL RESPONSE: ANIMAL ASSISTANCE RESPONSE TO CRISIS INCIDENCES. TO GGIVE COMFORT AND METHODS TO REDUCE ANXIETY AMONGST CHILDREN AND ADULTS THAT HAD BEEN IMPACTED BY A MASS SHOOTING AT ROBB ELEMENTARY. DONATED 38 TEAMS TO THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS. VOLUNTEERS ALSO RESPONDED T TO 13 SAN ANTONIO SCHOOL INCIDENTS REGARDING MASS SHOOTINGS.
