WINTER MEETING. THE LVMA WINTER MEETING IS HELD OVER A THREE DAY PERIOD AND IS TYPICALLY ATTENDED BY MORE THAN 300 VETERINARIANS AND INCLUDES AN EXPOSITION OF APPROXIMATELY 50 VENDORS. PROGRAMMING IS OFFERED FOR COMPANION ANIMAL AND LARGE ANIMAL PRACTITIONERS AND A PRACTICE MANAGEMENT TRACK IS INCLUDED.
NEWSLETTER. THE LVMA NEWSLETTER IS PUBLISHED SIX TIMES PER YEAR AND MAILED TO ALL MEMBERS.
ADVOCACY. THE LVMA IS REPRESENTED BY A LOBBYING FIRM FOR LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES. THE ASSOCIATION IS ALSO REPRESENTED BY A POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE. THE LVMA ALSO ACTIVELY MONITORS THE REGULATORY ACTIVITIES OF THE LOUISIANA BOARD OF VETERINARY MEDICINE AND LOUISIANA BOARD OF PHARMACY.
