FCMOD WAS STILL IMPACTED BY THE PANDEMIC IN 2021 AS VISITATION NUMBERS AND COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION CONTINUED TO REMAIN WELL BELOW PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS. THE MUSEUM HELD STRONG IN ITS MISSION BY REIMAGINING ITS PROGRAM OFFERINGS TO BETTER SERVE COMMUNITY NEED; PROVIDING SUPPORT TO LOCAL, UNDERSERVED FAMILIES THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN THE SUMMER BOOKMOBILE, THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR LOCAL UNIVERSITY IN HOSTING A SUMMER CAMP TARGETING INDIGENOUS YOUTH, AND BY OFFERING A VARIETY OF SCIENCE AND HISTORY-BASED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGE LEVELS, TO SUPPLEMENT THE RICHNESS OF THE PERMANENT AND TRAVELING EXHIBIT GALLERIES, AND TO PROVIDE FULFILLING EXPERIENCES THAT ALLOW VISITORS OF ALL AGES TO ENGAGE INFORMALLY AT DEEPER LEVELS OF LEARNING THROUGH DISCOVERY AND REFLECTION.
