WELD FOOD BANK COLLECTS SURPLUS FOOD FROM FOOD PROCESSORS, FARMS, DISTRIBUTORS, AND SUPERMARKETS. WE ALSO CONDUCT COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVES AND GLEAN FROM LOCAL GARDENS AND FARMS. THIS FOOD IS THEN DISTRIBUTED TO MORE THAN 73 NONPROFIT AGENCIES IN WELD COUNTY THAT PROVIDE MEALS AND SERVICES TO PEOPLE IN NEED. THE DIVERSITY OF OUR AGENCIES INCLUDES FOOD PANTRIES, HOMELESS SHELTERS, SOUP KITCHENS, RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTERS, AND SENIOR AND YOUTH PROGRAMS.
