THE TEXAS PUBLIC BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION WILL INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS, DEVELOP MECHANISMS FOR MEMBER COOPERATIVE EFFORTS, AND PROMOTE THE FUNDING AND GENERAL WELL-BEING OF PUBLIC BROADCASTING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF TEXAS.

THE TEXAS PUBLIC BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE 11 TEXAS PUBLIC TELEVISION STATIONS. THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS FUNDRAISING, STATEWIDE UNDERWRITING, AND PROVIDES RESOURCES FOR ALL MEMBER STATIONS TO ENSURE THE SUSTAINABILITY OF PUBLIC MEDIA THROUGHOUT TEXAS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO WORKS WITH STATE AGENCIES AND OTHER STATEWIDE ORGANIZATIONS TO DEVELOP NEW PROGRAMMING, EDUCATION OUTREACH, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. AS AN ADVOCATE AND PARTICIPANT IN SAID ACTIVITIES, THE ASSOCIATION FOSTERS AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE PUBLIC ISSUES ARE ILLUMINATED TO MASSES BY RELEVANT CONTENT AND PROGRAMMING. THE ASSOCIATION MANAGES THESE ACTIVITIES FOR THE STATIONS AND PROVIDES FINANCIAL AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR JOINT PROJECTS.
