CHARITY LEAGUE OF CORPUS CHRISTI HOLDS AN ANNUAL STYLE SHOW AND SOLICITS FUNDS FROM THE COMMUNITY. A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION IS SELECTED TO RECEIVE THESE FUNDS FOR A SPECIFIED PURPOSE. (I.E. BUILDING, EQUIPMENT, ETC.)NEW LIFE REFUGE MINISTRIES WAS CHOSEN AS THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2021-2022 FUNDRAISING EFFORTS.SINCE 2018 NEW LIFE REFUGE MINISTIRES HAS OPERATED THE HOME OF HOPE FOR FEMALE TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS AGES 11-17. PROCEEDS FROM THE CHARITY LEAGUE WILL BE USED TO ADD A "VILLAGE" OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING CABINS TO THE CURRENT REFUGE CAMPUS. THE VILLAGE PROJECT WILL PROVIDE HOUSING FOR SURVIVORS WHO REACH THE AGE OF 18 SO THAT THEY MAY CONTINUE THEIR HEALING PATH INTO ADULTHOOLD RATHER THAN MOVING AWAY FROM THE CRUCIAL SUPPORT SYSTEM PROVIDED BY NEW LIFE REFUGE MINISTRIES.
