EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITY TO LIVE HEALTHY LIVES; BY PROVIDING PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICE FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS.

SACADA IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDNG PREVENTION, INTERVENTION AND RECOVERY SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY IN BEXAR COUNTY AND SURROUNDING RURAL COUNTIES. SEVENTY PERCENT OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED ARE PREVENTION FOCUSED AND SERVED 60,000 CHILDREN IN 5 COUNTIES, AND 14 SCHOOL DISTRICT AS WELL AS 30,000 ADULTS IN THE COMMUNITY. SCHOOLS REPORTED THAT 85% OF THE CHILDREN IN OUR PROGRAMS DEMONSTRATED IMPROVEMENT IN SCHOOL PERFORMANCE, STRONGER COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND IMPROVED REFUSAL SKILLS TO DEAL WITH BULLYING, SUBSTANCE USE AND OTHER NEGATIVE BEHAVIORS. THIRTY PERCENT OF OUR SERVICES ARE FOCUSED ON RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS IMPACTED BY SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS AND OTHER RELATED CONSEQUENCES. SACADA PROVIDED 500 ADULTS WITH LONG TERM RECOVERY COACHING SERVICES AND 2,000 ADULTS WITH SHORT TERM RECOVERY SERVICES. PROGRAM OUTCOMES INCLUDED: LONGTERM RECOVERY, STABLE HOUSING AND EMPLOYMENT.
