THE PTO PURCHASED SCHOOL SUPPLIES INCLUDING 1ST & 2ND GRADE HOMEWORK FOLDERS, HAWK COMMUNICATION FOLDERS AND AGENDA PLANNERS FOR 1200+ STUDENTS. WE SUPPLEMENTED TEACHER SUPPLIES FOR EVERY TEACHER WITH A $100 GRANT PER TEACHER. WE FULLY FUND THE ACCELERATED READER PROGRAM FOR EVERY STUDENT AT THE SCHOOL AND PURCHASE ALL OF THE INCENTIVE AWARDS. WE FUNDED 2 SCHOOLWIDE ASSEMBLIES AND OFFERED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FIELD TRIPS FOR STUDENTS WHO COULDN'T AFFORD THEM. WE PUT ON SEVERAL FAMILY EVENTS INCLUDING A WINTER FAMILY FUN NIGHT, A SCIENCE NIGHT, THE VOLUNTEER FAMILY PARTY, AFTER SCHOOL MOVIES, THE MUFFINS 4 MOMS AND DONUTS 4 DADS. PTO FUNDED THE STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK, THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL CELEBRATION, AND THE WATCH DOG DADS WELCOME DINNER. PTO FUNDED THE DRAMA TEACHER, HAWK ACADEMY FOR STUDENTS WHO NEED EXTRA HELP ON THEIR SCHOOL WORK AND LIBRARY TECH WHEN THE DISTRICT BUDGET WOULD NOT ALLOW FOR THE POSITIONS.
