1. THE BUSINESS LEADERS POLL IS AN ESSENTIAL TOOL AND THE ONLY STATEWIDE SCIENTIFIC SURVEY THAT PROVIDES A REGULAR PULSE ON THE VIEWS, CONCERNS, AND OUTLOOK OF OKLAHOMA'S DIVERSE BUSINESS COMMUNITY. THE ANNUAL POLL ENCOMPASSES SMALL AND LARGE BUSINESSES, URBAN AND RURAL, FROM C-SUITES TO CORNER STORES. THE SURVEY RESULTS PROVIDE VALUABLE INFORMATION, IDENTIFYING KEY CHALLENGES AND BARRIERS IDENTIFIED BY BUSINESS OWNERS.2. THE OKLAHOMA SCORECARD (PREVIOUSLY THE ECI) IS AN ANNUAL PUBLICATION THAT EVALUATES OKLAHOMA'S COMPETITIVE POSITION COMPARED TO THE NATION, REGION, AND A SET OF PEER STATES SHARING VARIOUS CHARACTERISTICS. INTENDED AS A TOOL FOR POLICYMAKERS, THE SCORECARD MEASURES OKLAHOMA'S ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS THROUGH SCRF'S SIX KEY ISSUE AREAS: TAX COMPETITIVENESS, WORKFORCE, INFRASTRUCTURE, LEGAL CLIMATE, GOVERNMENT BURDEN, AND HEALTH CARE.3. THE RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (RIED) IS A NON-PARTISAN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO HELPING THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY UNDERSTAND HOW OKLAHOMA'S LEGISLATORS VOTE ON BUSINESS, JOB AND ECONOMIC ISSUES.4. WORKFORCE STUDY: THE STATE CHAMBER OF OKLAHOMA WILL STREAMLINE OKLAHOMA'S WORKFORCE INTO A MORE COORDINATED AND FOCUSED SYSTEM TO PROVIDE OKLAHOMA WORKERS WITH THE SKILLS THEY NEED FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE AND SUPPLY EMPLOYERS WITH SKILLED LABOR. WE WORKED WITH WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL LEADERS TO EVALUATE THE CURRENT SYSTEM AND MAKE A PLAN FOR A BETTER SYSTEM IN THE FUTURE. 5. THE LEGAL CENTER IS GEARED TOWARD RESEARCHING POLICY IMPLICATIONS SURROUNDING THE THIRD BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT. THE PURPOSE OF THE SCRF LEGAL CENTER IS TO PROMOTE FREE ENTERPRISE AND ECONOMIC PROSPERITY BY ADVOCATING FOR THE CONSISTENT AND FAIR APPLICATION OF THE LAW AS WRITTEN.
