THE WESTERN TRAIL HISTORICAL SOCIETY SEEKS TO ENABLE THE MUSEUM OF THE WESTERN PRAIRIE TO BE A DRIVING FORCE IN THE CULTURALLIFE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY.

THESE PROGRAMS ARE DIRECTED TOWARD PUBLIC EDUCATION AND PRESERVING THE LOCAL HISTORY. THEY PROVIDED PROGRAMMING, RESOURCES, AND MATERIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT EVENTS IN THE COMMUNITY. THROUGH THESE EVENTS, PEOPLE LEARN MORE ABOUT ART, MUSIC, HISTORY, AND THEMSELVES. PROGRAM THEMES REPRESENT A CULTURE IN OUR LOCAL AREA AND PROVIDE CITIZENS A VENUE TO ENGGE THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE.
WE SUPPORT OKLAHOMA HISTORICAL SOCIETY BY HELPING WITH THE COST OF KEEPING THE MUSEUM MAINTAINED AND SAFE FOR THE PUBLIC. OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH OHS IS A MUTUAL ONE AND THE MUSEUM OF THE PRAIRIE BENEFITS.
LIVE AT THE MUSEUM IS A SOPHISTICATED PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE BRINGING TALENTED PROFESSIONALS FROM ACROSS THE NATION TO OUR COMMUNITY. THESE PROFESSIONALS PERFORMED ON STAGES IN FRONT OF PRESIDENTS, KING AND QUEENS, AND OTHER COMMAND PERFORMANCES AROUND THE GLOBE. THEY COME TO OUR COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE AN EXCEPTIONAL LEVEL OF THE FINE ARTS AS AN EXAMPLE TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS ALIKE. THIS CONTINUES OUR LEGACY OF FINE ARTS IN SW OKLAHOMA.
