TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE IN NEED AND STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH FOR THE FUTURE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM (CACFP) IS A FEDERAL PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES REIMBURSEMENTS FOR NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND SNACKS TO ELIGIBLE CHILDREN WHO ARE ENROLLED FOR CARE AT PARTICIPATING FAMILY DAYCARE HOMES. CACFP ALSO PROVIDES REIMBURSEMENT FOR MEALS SERVED TO CHILDREN IN FAMILY DAYCARE HOMES AGES TO 13 WITH PROPER PAPERWORK. CACFP CONTRIBUTES TO THE WELLNESS, HEALTHY GROWTH, AND DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN THE UNITED STATES. CACFP TARGETS HIGHER LEVELS OF REIMBURSEMENT TO LOW-INCOME AREAS AND TO DAY CARE PROVIDERS AND CHILDREN MOST IN NEED.


OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: PRESCRIPTION DRUGS- ESTABLISHES RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLINICS AND DOCTORS TO PROVIDE FREE OR REDUCED COST PRESCRIPTION SERVICES TO UNISURED OR UNDER-INSURED CLIENTS. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: HOUSING - SINGLE FAMILY ACQUISITION REHAB PROVIDES FUNDS TO PURCHASE 3 BEDROOM HOMES IN AREAS DESIGNATED AS BEING IN NEED OF AVAILABLE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES AS WELL AS DISABLED VETERANS OR HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS. THE HOMES ARE PURCHASED AND THEN RENTED AT BELOW MARKET RENTAL RATES.


COMMUNITY SERVICES- PROGRAMS BENEFITTING THE COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING SERVICES SUCH AS FREE TAX PREPARATION, FOOD PANTRIES, UTILITY AND RENT ASSISTANCE, EMPLOYMENT REFERRALS, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, ETC. FOR THE LOW INCOME POPULATION.


EMERGENCY SERVICES- ADMINISTERS FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS FOR EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER PROGRAMS FOR LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AND HOMELESS AND AT-RISK HOMELESSNESS.
