PIONEER DAYS IS OUR LARGEST PROGRAM EVEN OF THE YEAR. WITH THIS PROJECT, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS DOLLARS ARE BROUGHT INTO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH TOURISM BY WAY OF THE RODEO (WHICH PRESERVES OUR HERITAGE), A CARNIVAL, PIONEER PARADE AND MANY OTHER LOCAL EVENTS ARE PUT ON BY VARIOUS CIVIC AND COMMUNITY CLUBS, INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES. OUR RODEO IS A FIVE DAY EVENT WITH WHICH IS SANCTIONED BY THE PRO-RODEO COWBOY ASSOCIATION AND BRINGS THOUSANDS OF CONTESTANTS FROM ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES TO COMPETE. ALL OF THESE CONTESTANTS BUY FUEL, SLEEP AND EAT THEREBY ENHANCING FINANCIAL GROWTH IN OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS SPECTATORS WHO COME TO THE COMMUNITY FOR THE RODEO.
THE ANNUAL AWARD BANQUET/ANNUAL MEETING IS HELD EVERY YEAR. WE HONOR VARIOUS INDIVIDUALS & BUSINESSES AT THIS BANQUET SUCH AS CITIZEN OF THE YEAR, VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR, AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR.
