PROVIDES AN EDUCATIONAL VENUE TO INSTRUCT YOUTH INTERESTED IN LIVESTOCK AND INVOLVED WITH RAISING MARKET ANIMALS. THE PROCESS CULMINATES IN AN AUCTION OF THE SUPERIOR PROJECTS IN ORDER FOR THE YOUTH TO RECEIVE RECOGNITION FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND FUND FUTURE PROJECTS. SERVED SEVERAL THOUSAND YOUTH IN LOUISIANA WITH STEER, SHEEP, CHICKEN, GOAT, SWINE, AND AGRICULTURE MECHANIC PROJECTS.
PROVIDES COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO AREA YOUTH INTERESTED IN AGRICULTURE AND RELATED AGRICULTURE AND LIFE SCIENCE MAJORS. THIS REPRESENTS ELEVEN 4-YEAR RENEWABLE SCHOLARSHIPS AND 5 ONE-TIME GRANTS.
