AN EIGHT-PAGE NEWSLETTER IS PUBLISHED SIX TIMES PER YEAR AND MAILED TO 20,000-PLUS MEMBERS.
STATE-WIDE CONVENTIONS WERE HELD WITH RETIRED TEACHERS IN ATTENDANCE. INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL TOPICS WERE HIGHLIGHTED IN THE INTEREST OF IMPROVING THE WELL-BEING/QUALITY OF LIFE OF LOUISIANA'S RETIRED TEACHERS.
DISTRICT AND UNIT ASSOCIATIONS ARE SERVICED, INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF SPEAKERS, CONSULTANTS AND RESOURCES FOR PROGRAM PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION. ALL TIME PROVIDED IS DONATED EXCEPT FOR PAID LRTA STAFF. PERIODIC INFORMATIONAL UPDATES ARE SENT TO KEY LEADERSHIP VOLUNTEERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.
