LOUISIANA RIGHT TO LIFE FEDERATION WORKS THROUGH EDUCATION AND LEGISLATION TO RESTORE THE RIGHT TO LIFE IN LOUISIANA BY OPPOSING ABORTION, EUTHANASIA, AND OTHER LIFE DESTROYING ACTIONS.

THE FEDERATION ENGAGED IN ACTIVITIES ALIGNED WITH ITS PURPOSE OF: OPPOSING ABORTION, INFANTICIDE, EUTHANASIA AND OTHER LIFE DESTROYING ACTIONS; COORDINATING RIGHT TO LIFE ACTIVITIES IN LOUISIANA; ADVANCING RIGHT TO LIFE PRINCIPLES BY EDUCATION; SUPPORTING PRO-LIFE PROGRAMS AND LEGISLATION; AND PROMOTING EFFORTS TO OBTAIN RECOGNITION OF THE UNBORN HUMAN BEING AS A "PERSON" WHO QUALIFIES FOR ALL LEGAL PROTECTION AS GUARANTEED BY THE U.S. CONSTITUTION. DURING 2022-23, THE FEDERATION SAW A MAJOR SHIFT IN ITS WORK DUE TO THE SUPREME COURT'S DECISION IN DOBBS V. JACKSON WOMEN'S HEALTH. IT RESULTED IN PROTECTING UNBORN CHILDREN FROM ABORTION IN LOUISIANA THANKS TO STATE LAW. THE FEDERATION PROVIDED TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION ABOUT THOSE LAWS. ANOTHER EFFORT WAS THE FEDERATION'S CONTRIBUTION OF TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE RESOURCES TO OUR ALLIED ORGANIZATION KANSANS FOR LIFE TO ASSIST THE "LOVE THEM BOTH," A KANSAS CONSTITUTIONAL BALLOT AMENDMENT AIMED AT ENSURING NO RIGHT TO ABORTION IN THE KANSAS CONSTITUTION, SIMILAR TO THE LOVE LIFE AMENDMENT PASSED IN LOUISIANA IN 2020. SINCE THE IRS CONSIDERS ADVOCACY FOR OR AGAINST A BALLOT INITIATIVE TO BE CONSIDERED DIRECT LOBBYING, THIS FALLS FALLS UNDER THE FEDERATION'S PURPOSE. TO FURTHER A MORE INFORMED, ENGAGED ELECTORATE, THE FEDERATION ENGAGED IN LIMITED NON-PARTISAN VOTER EDUCATION TO LOUISIANA CITIZENS ON WHERE CANDIDATES FOR STATE LEGISLATIVE OFFICE IN SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS STOOD ON PRO-LIFE ISSUES. THESE ACTIONS FURTHERED A MORE INFORMED AND ENGAGED ELECTORATE.
