- PROMOTE QUALITY TREATMENT AND CARE FOR ALL CANCER PATIENTS IN LOUISIANA.- PROVIDE EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION FOR CLINICAL ONCOLOGISTS PRACTICING IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA.- DISSEMINATE INFORMATION CONCERNING THE DIAGNOSIS, CARE, AND TREATMENT OF CANCER TO PRACTICING PHYSICIANS AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. - ENCOURAGE THE IMPROVEMENT OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES RELATING TO THE CARE AND TREATMENT OF CANCER PATIENTS.- PROMOTE NEW CANCER TECHNOLOGIES AND TO EDUCATE PHYSICIANS, HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC REGARDING SUCH NEW TECHNOLOGIES.- PROMOTE COLLEGIAL RELATIONSHIPS AMONG ONCOLOGISTS PRACTICING IN LOUISIANA.
