ANNUAL CONVENTION - GATHERING OF MEMBERS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES
LOBBYING EFFORTS - WE MAINTAIN A STRONG LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE, WHOSE FUNCTION IS TO KEEP UP WITH ALL PROPOSED LEGISLATION, SUPPORTING LAWS THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO OUR INDUSTRY AND OPPOSING THOSE THAT ARE NOT. WE ARE EXTREMELY INVOLVED IN THE POLITICAL PROCESS TO HELP ENSURE THE ELECTION OF THOSE WHO RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR INDUSTRY. ADDITIONALLY, WE FUND A POWERFUL FULL TIME LOBBYIST IN BATON ROUGE TO REPRESENT OUR ASSOCIATION AND PROMOTE OUR POLITICAL AGENDA.
