ROTARY CLUB OFFERS ITS MEMBERS OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENRICHMENT IN THE COMMUNITY AND CIVIC SERVICES; GOALS ACHIEVED BY WEEKLY PROGRAMS AND LOCAL SERVICE PROJECTS, GRANTS TO FUND LOCAL PROJECTS OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, AND SCHOLARSHIPS. ONE MAJOR PROJECT IS THE DISTRICT GRANT AWARDED TO THE RENESTING PROJECT, INC. TO PURCHASE NEW MATTRESSES AND FRAMES FOR FAMILIES (MOSTLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN) AND INDIVIDUALS TRANSITIONING FROM HOMELESSNESS TO PERMANENT HOUSING OR THOSE IN HOUSING THAT DO NOT HAVE BEDS. THE GRANT FUNDING PURCHASED 26 NEW MATTRESSES AND FRAMES FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE THESE ITEMS ON THEIR OWN DUE TO SEVERE LIFE SITUATIONS. ADDITIONAL PROJECTS DURING THE FISCAL TAX YEAR INCLUDED PARTICIPATION IN THE 4H JR. LIVESTOCK SHOW FOR FUNDS TO GO TOWARDS THE 4H STUDENT'S SCHOLARSHIP, AS WELL AS OTHER SMALL COMMUNITY PROJECTS.
