FOUNDED IN 1899, THE USA RICE MILLERS' ASSOCIATION (RMA) IS ONE OF THE OLDEST AGRIBUSINESS TRADE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES. IT PROMOTES THE INTERESTS OF THE U.S. RICE MILLING INDUSTRY BY ADVOCATING FOR SOUND LEGISLATIVE, REGULATORY, AND TRADE POLICY AS WELL AS SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES TO INCREASE DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL SALES FOR ALL TYPES AND FORMS OF U.S.-GROWN RICE. RMA MEMBERSHIP ENCOMPASSES VIRTUALLY ALL THE RICE MILLING CAPACITY IN THE UNITED STATES, INCLUDING, FARMER-OWNED COOPERATIVES AND PRIVATELY-OWNED MILLS. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS CONSIST OF U.S. AND FOREIGN-BASED COMPANIES WITH AN INTEREST IN ISSUES THAT IMPACT THE RICE MILLING INDUSTRY.

THE USA RICE MILLERS' ASSOCIATION IS A CHARTER MEMBER OF THE USA RICE FEDERATION, WHO RECEIVES FUNDING FROM THE ASSOCIATION TO MANAGE IT AND TO CONDUCT APPROVED PROGRAMS ON ITS BEHALF.


THE ASSOCIATION DIRECTLY FUNDS ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES INCLUDING THE COST OF THE ASSOCIATION'S BOARD MEETINGS AND AN ANNUAL CONVENTION.
