SOUND SCIENCE/COSMETICS INGREDIENT REVIEW: PCPC PROMOTES THE INDUSTRY'S COMMITMENT TO SAFETY AND SELF-REGULATION TO ENSURE THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH THE USE OF SAFE INGREDIENTS IN PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS. PCPC'S CONSUMER COMMITMENT CODE FORMALIZES EXISTING PRODUCT SAFETY PRACTICES AND DEMONSTRATES THE INDUSTRY'S COMMITMENT TO SAFETY. THE CIR REVIEWS AVAILABLE INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS TO DETERMINE THE SAFETY OF THOSE INGREDIENTS AS USED IN PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS AND PUBLISHES THE CONCLUSIONS OF ITS INDEPENDENT REVIEWS.
